Monday April 16th

Today's assignment was #8. It was a short assignment, and students were encouraged to catch up on any assignments not yet completed. Unit test is on Thursday.

Tuesday March 27th

Today we went over formulas and examples for area of a rectangle, square, triangle and circle. An extra practice workbook was handed out for practicing calculating area of those shapes. Then I put up the example on p.24 of their workbooks and assignment 7 is to be completed today.

Wednesday May 2nd

Today was the chapter 5 test. We are trying something new called two stage tests. First, students wrote their tests individually, then they wrote a similar one in groups. Both the individual mark and the group mark will combine to make up the student's mark. If a student does better individually than they do with their combined score, they will get their higher score.
