Ms. MacKenzie's Math 10 AW

Today was quiz 2 for this unit. Then we started the chapter review. It is for homework. The unit 3 test is next Thursday.

Today we went through various formulas for surface area and examples of how to use them. Assignment 8 in their booklets is for today, quiz #2 tomorrow.

Today we went over formulas and examples for area of a rectangle, square, triangle and circle. An extra practice workbook was handed out for practicing calculating area of those shapes. Then I put up the example on p.24 of their workbooks and assignment 7 is to be completed today.

We went over the formula for calculating the circumference of a circle and did an example on the board. Assignment 6 was assigned today.

Today students wrote the first quiz for this unit. Then they took a couple of notes on perimeter. The perimeter assignment should be done by the end of the day tomorrow. I have left some extra practice fir perimeter as I’m away tomorrow. Enjoy your break!

We were missing a lot of students today. Assignment 4 was assigned. Some students were catching up on previous assignments. They have a quiz tomorrow.

Today we went over some examples for converting between imperial and metric measurement. I did a homework check from yesterday and assignment 3 was assigned today.

Today was assignment 2 of unit 3, about imperial measurement (inches, feet and yards).

Students worked on their review and practice tests. They decided to have the fractions unit test on Monday.

We started unit 3 today. Students were given back a copy of their test to do corrections for half marks.

Sorry for the delay! I was away Tuesday and ran out of time yesterday. Yesterday we did a couple of review packages in preparation for today's test.

Students should be done their booklet today, but have tomorrow's class to finish up.
